Terrorism- fighting conference in Tripoli

Ten European and Arab Maghreb ministers of the interior and public security will discuss in the Libyan capital Tripoli on July 9 through 11 their countries cooperation in the field of fighting terrorism, drugs and organized crimes.

This 8th meeting for the ministers of the interior of the West Mediterranean states colaition, will also discuss security co-peration and creating effective cooperation in the field of illgal migration and cooperation in the fields of civil protection.

This meeeting includes the Arab Maghreb states. They are Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and the five European states in the west of the Mediterranean which are Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Malta.

Worthy mentioning, the foreign ministers had in their meeting which was held in Tripoli by the end of May to spoke of "deepening cooperation" among their countries in the field of fighting terrorism, especially following the incidents of September 11. 2001.
