Babel: An American plan to partition Saudi Arabia
Iraq-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 7/9/2002
The Iraqi daily Babel in an editorial thought to be written by Ode Saddam Hussein, son of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has warned against an American plan to partition the countries of the region starting as from Saudi Arabia and abrogating the Kingdom of Bahrain to have it back as a part of Iran and making Jordan a homeland alternative for the Palestinians.
The editorial was undersigned by the name of "Abu Hatem," one of the names which Ode undersigns his political analyses. The editorial added that Iraq is ready to rescue Saudi Arabia if Saudi Arabia requested that, noting that the Saudis are the first to realize the American game as they had realized that the Americans are seeking to divide their Kingdom."
The writer of the article considered that the "implementation of the partition plan is linked to eliminating the Palestinian Intifada and in order to achieve that goal they have to attack Iraq." The writer added that the Iraqi president and members of the Iraqi leadership "contributed to foil the plan to topple the Jordanian regime by Arab sides as a result of personal differences with the late Jordanian King Hussein." He accused Amman of permitting special American forces of using its territories. He added "despite the denial of the Jordanian government officially to these information, yet there are American military advisors on the Jordanian territory."
The writer also said the US will launch a military attack against Iraq after two to four weeks of the arrival of the UN weapons inspectors to the Iraqi territories.
