Sudden visit by Jordanian King to Moscow

The Jordanian King Abdullah II on Monday started a visit to Moscow to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, amid intensive Arab and foreign diplomatic moves to rescue the settlement process with Israel and under US threats of military attacks by the US against Iraq.
No details were given on the visit of the Jordanian monarch, and the visit was not disclosed beforehand. It is expected that Abdullah and Putin will hold their meeting today. King Abdullah will leave Russia later in conclusion of his visit on which he will be meeting with the Crown Prince Hamza Bin al-Hussein and the director of the general intelligence Lt. Gen. Saad Kheir.
