Qatar- Eritrea sign economic agreements

Qatar and Eritrea signed joint minutes of meetings between the two ministries of the economy and trade in the two countries. On the Qatari sides the agreement was signed by minister of economy and trade Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal al-Thani and Eritrea's minister of economy and trade Qarqis Dakhla Michael.

Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal praised his meeting with Eritrea's president, noting that his visit to Eritrea came at the directives of the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani in order to strengthen cooperation relations especially in the economic and trade areas.

In press statements following the signing ceremony, the Qatari minister spoke of the joint investment projects in the state of Eritrea and that coordination is being maintained at the bilateral level in economic sectors especially in cement industry, agriculture, and tourism.

He noted the possibility of founding a service and insurance company in Eritrea by a Qatari businessman.
