Jordanian- Moroccan economic talks

The Jordanian minister of trade and industry Salah Eddin al-Bashir and the Moroccan state secretary in charge of foreign trade, Abdelkrim Benatik have discussed means of increasing trade exchange and founding investment projects between the two states.
The two ministers discussed, in the presence of the two states delegations, a cooperation plan in the railways area and finding out joint industries as well as mechanism of cooperation to benefit from the Moroccan experience in the banking and information technology fields.
The two ministers agreed to establish a joint company for maintaining and re- processing of gas cylinders at an annual capacity of 250,000 cylinders and to form a joint committee in order to revitalize the Aghadir Declaration which aims at finding out a free trade zone between Jordan, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia, the countries which signed partnership agreements with the European Union. They also stressed the need of finding out a genuine partnership between the private and public sectors in order to revitalize bilateral trade exchange.
