Israel to involve armed settlers in controlling the Palestinians, 300 West Bankers arrested

The Israeli forces on Sunday continued their attacks against the Palestinians in the cities and villages of the West Bank and Gaza. Two breaking in and inspection operations were carried out in Rafah and near Eni Sinai settlement in Gaza.
In Nablus, the Israeli forces detonated a factory under the charge it included amounts of weapons and ammunition and a similar factory was blown up in Ramullah, while one Palestinian child died because of wounds he already had from Israeli gunmen in Nablus.
Meantime, the Israeli Defence Minister Benyamin Ben Eliezer said that his forces arrested 300 Palestinians during its recent military operations in the West Bank, claiming that 150 among those detainees were planning to carry out operations against Israeli targets.
While Israeli military sources admitted that Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian woman and her daughter near Natsareim settlement to the south of Gaza on Saturday, the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres said that Israel will found what he had called "the civil guards department" including Israelis and settlers and will be in charge of guarding and chasing the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.
Peres proposed to the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon to assign members of the said guards to take part with the Israeli forces in chasing the Palestinians and inspecting them at check points and at the entrances of the cities, villages and the camps.
Meantime, hundreds of members of the Palestinian "preventive security forces' in Hebron in the West Bank demonstrated on Sunday in protest of the decision taken by the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to fire their leader col. Jibril al-Rajjoub.
Members of the Palestinian police described their protest as peaceful and announced their rejection to deal with Zuhair Manasra who was appointed in the position of the commander of the " Palestinian preventive police."
