Saudi crown prince confers with Syrian parliament speaker
Saudi Arabia-Syria, Politics, 7/8/2002

The Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz on Sunday in Jeddah received the speaker of the Syrian parliament Abdul Qader Qaddoura and members of the accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Saudi Shoura council Sheikh Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Hameed and Prince Nawaf Ibn Abdul Aziz and the Syrian charge de affairs to Saudi Arabia.

Discussions dealt with the peace process and the initiative of the Saudi crown prince which has become an Arab initiative as well as the Arab situation.

Earlier in the day, the Saudi defense minister prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz received Qaddoura and members of the accompanying delegation.

Prince Sultan highlighted Syria's position enjoyed in Saudi Arabia and talked about the remarkable relations between the two states. Prince Sultan also spoke of the developed cultural and social life in Syria.
