European commission supports upgrading of moroccan textile companies

The European Commission's Program for the support of the Moroccan private sector (EME) will extend assistance to Moroccan textile enterprises in their upgrading process under a protocol agreement signed Thursday with the Moroccan Association of Textile and apparel industries (AMITH).Under the agreement, a study on a textile-apparel development strategy will be conducted.
AMITH undertakes to make an analysis of the local demand's competitiveness and set up a committee to follow up the application of its resolutions. On its part, EME will appoint an executive to supervise actions and the hiring of consultants.
