Israel continues violations in South Lebanon

The Israeli forces on Thursday continued their aggressions and violations of the Lebanese airspace, while an Israeli car carrying security members passed into al-Ghajar occupied town.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli positions in Rweisa al-Sammaqa, Rweisat al-Alam, al-Mamtha, Fashkoul amd al-Marsad at Shebaa farms on Thursday at dawn opened its heavy machine fire intensively at the western part of al-Majedeyah farm until al-Saddaneh mountains, Burket al-Naqar, Bastara farm, Bab al-Hawa, Burket Bethayal and the eastern hills besieging Kafer Shouba town.

The sources said these aggressions coincided with firing illumination bombs in the airspace of the targeted areas, and that Israeli warplanes flew on Thursday afternoon in the airspace of Shebaa farms and the liberated al-Arqoub area, and Hasbia and carried out mock raids.

Meantime, one Lebanese soldier was wounded when a landmine went off in al-Batroun area to the north of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

A statement issued by the guidance directorate at the Lebanese army leadership said that when a unit of the engineering section of the Lebanese army was searching for mines in al-Batroun hills, one land mine went off and resulted in slightly wounding the soldier.
