Saudi crown prince's proposals to build confidence between Israel, the Palestinians
Saudi Arabia-Palestine, Politics, 7/4/2002
The Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah has proposed to the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to take several measures in order to build confidence with the Palestinian side following the speech delivered by the US President George Bush. Among these proposed measures is to release Palestinian money Israel has to pay for the Palestinian Authority.
The Israeli radio said that this proposal was conveyed on Tuesday to Sharon through to Americans following a visit to Saudi Arabia. The radio added that Sharon will not agree at the meantime to transfer the money to the Palestinian authority.
