Khatami to visit UAE very soon

The spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry Hameed Asifi described the visit held by the United Arab Emirates UAE Minister Of State For Foreign affairs Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed al-Nahyan recently to Tehran as very successful, noting that the talks were held in a constructive atmosphere and is different from previous ones.

In his weekly press conference, Asifi unveiled that Iran received a special invitation to President Muhammad Khatami to visit the UAE. He said that the invitation was approved, but he did not set a date for it, rather noted that the two sides are working in preparation for it.

Asifi said that relations between Tehran and Abu Dhabi would strengthen basics of security and stability in the region. He added "we are in need of some time to settle matters among ourselves. He noted that the two sides are proceeding on the right track in order to settle all impending issues.
