Jweili: the first Arab investment conference with Africa

The secretary general of the Arab economic unity council Ahmad Jweili has announced the convening of the first conference for investment with Africa during the period from September 21 through 24 to be held Libya. He added the conference will be held in collaboration between the economic unity council and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa.
In a statement he made in Cairo on Tuesday, Jweili said that there is a desire in the Arab states to developing economic cooperation relations with Africa in its being the strategic dimension of the Arab states, noting that this desire is in compliance with the world inclination towards economic blocs.
He explained that this conference aims at acquainting with the basic traits and characteristics of the status of Afro- Arab cooperation and the possibilities of Arab investment opportunities in Africa, as well as explaining the reflections of Afro- Arab relations and its impact on economic cooperation between the two sides.
