Mubarak confers with US senate intelligence committee chairman

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Sunday in Cairo received with the delegation of the US Senate led by Senator Bob Graham, the chairman of the intelligence committee at the Senate and discussed latest developments in the Middle east region and the deteriorated conditions in the region and means of revitalizing the American role in order to reach a just political settlement for the situation in the region that complies with the international legitimacy resolutions and the land for peace formula.
However, the current visit of the US senate delegations to Egypt falls in the context of its tour on several countries in the region including Syria, Lebanon, and Israel.
Meantime, President Mubarak discussed with the Palestinian Authority local rule official Saeb Oreikat the developments of the explosive conditions in the occupied territories as a result of Israel's storming of the Palestinian territories and the oppressive Israeli practices against the Palestinian territories.
Talks also dealt with the statement read recently by the US President George Bush concerning the situation in the Middle East.
