Iraqi-Turkish joint committee meets in Baghdad

The Iraqi- Turkish talks held in the context of meetings of the joint committee on means of developing multifaceted bilateral cooperation started on Sunday in Baghdad.

The Iraqi side is presided over by the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Amir Mohammed Rasheed while the Turkish side was presided over by the Minister of State Safdar Kadille who arrived in Baghdad on Saturday evening on top of a delegation representing 30 official members and 220 representatives for companies and businessmen.

An Iraqi source said the first session of the talks were dedicated to reveal the desire of the two countries to expand bilateral cooperation frame and follow up the implementation of projects agreed upon in previous meetings.

The source added that the Turkish minister will hold during its visit which will last for four days talks with the Iraqi ministers of health, trade, agriculture, the interior, irrigation, electricity and oil.
