US to declare Palestinian State, when its components are completed

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher said on Tuesday that the US administration would declare the establishment of the Palestinian State whenever its components are completed.

Speaking to MENA, Maher said he informed US Secretary of State Colin Powell of Egypt's stance towards the so-called "temporary" Palestinian state during a phone call at dawn of Tuesday.

He said Powell made clear that this adjective or expression means that the components of the Palestinian State are not completed yet.

Maher said his talks with Powell covered the current situation in the Palestinians lands and the statement Bush is expected to deliver on the ways he believes can get the region out of the current crisis and bring the Palestinian and Israeli sides back to the negotiating table.

Maher said he informed Powell that Egypt looks forward for a fair and even-handed American statement.

Maher opined that Bush would make his statement within two days.
