AL chief, Omran discuss the implementation of Arab media campaign
Syria-Regional, Politics, 6/19/2002

The Syrian Minister of Information Adnan Omran on Tuesday discussed with the Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa in Cairo the agenda of the 35th session of the council of the Arab ministers of information which starts its works today under the chairmanship of Omran.

The discussions covere supporting the Palestinian Intifada, steadfastness of Jerusalem and protecting its Arab identity, revitalizing Arab media work in support of the steadfastness of the Arab people in the Golan, and south Lebanon as well as drawing a comprehensive Arab strategy to maintain a move at the international level to withstand the Israeli schemes and getting the full support of the international public opinion in the service of Arab causes.

The two sides stressed the need of implementing the Arab media move plan approved recently by the Beirut Arab summit in support of the Arab rights.
