Sharon pleased with EU decision to enlist three Palestinian groups as terrorists
Israel-European Union, Politics, 6/18/2002

The Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon considered the decision taken by the European Union to enlist three Palestinian groups among terrorist organizations and to ban their activities in the European Union EU member states as a very important step, noting that there are other measures that should be taken in this regard.

The Israeli radio quoted Sharon as saying during a session for the Israeli government on Sunday that he asked during his talks in Washington and London both the British and American governments to list the Hizbullah Organization in the said list and hoping this will be made very soon.

The three Palestinian organizations are al-Aqsa martyrs group, the People's Fronts for the Liberation of Palestine led by Ahmad Jibril and the military wing of the two movements of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.
