Arab League denounces the erection of the Israeli isolation fence
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 6/18/2002

The Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa has strongly denounced Israel's starting to build the fence separating between it and the Palestinian territories. He explained that by doing so Israel is perpetuating its occupation of the Palestinian territories and affirms a rejection to any attempts made to establish a just and comprehensive peace in the region, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the land for peace formula.

In statements he made in Cairo on Monday Moussa called on Israel to abide by the will of the international community and its resolutions providing for its pullout from all occupied Arab territories in Jerusalem, the Golan and the Palestinian territories until June 4, 1967 border lines and also its pullout from territories it still occupies in South Lebanon.

Moussa, on the other hand said he will take part in the works of the Arab Maghreb summit to be held in Algiers on June 21, noting he will during this summit, hold talks with the leaders of the Maghreb states and officials in the Maghreb union on latest developments of conditions in the Middle East region.
