Al-Assad visits burst dam in Zezoun, increases compensations to 250,000 pounds to the family of each victim

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has visited the destroyed area where the Zezoun's dam near Hama burst and caused huge material losses and claimed the lives of scores of Syrians.

In the framework of following up the drastic results of the dam's collapse the higher emergency committee, at the directive of the president decided to increase compensations for the family of every victim to 250,000 Syrian pounds, in addition to 50,000 Syrian pounds paid earlier.

The committee has also taken many decisions for rebuilding the dam in collaboration and coordination with local, Arab and international debated studies in this regard.
