Al-Sharq al-Awsat: French foreign minister to visit ME region

Arab diplomatic sources in Paris said that the French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin will pay a visit to the Middle East region before the end of the current month. This visit will cover Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian territories and Israel.
The London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily said in its Saturday issue that the French foreign ministry department starts preparations for a second visit to be held by Minister de Villepin, later to other Arab states.
