Bush receives al-Faisal; Powell denies American differences over the Palestinian state

The US President George Bush on Thursday at the White House received the Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal in the framework of following up the level of consultations to the highest levels in order to define a strategy to relaunch the peace process in the Middle East.
AFP quoted Saudi official sources as saying that al-Faisal will convey Saudi Arabia's concern over the American support given to the Israeli policy towards the Palestinians, SANA reported.
Well-informed sources said that the al-Faisal had met with the US presidential advisor for the national security, before his meeting with President Bush.
On the other hand, the US secretary of state Colin Powell denied differences with the White House on the idea of establishing a Palestinian state. AFP quoted Powell as saying to the press on the sideline of the ministerial meeting of the G- 8 in the British Colombia district in Canada on Wednesday evening that there is no differences with the American presidency in this regard.
