Saudi crown prince meets with chairpersons of Axon, Shell

Oil sources said on Thursday that the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz will on June 23 hold a meeting with the two heads of Axon and Shell companies in an initiative to open the Saudi gas sector. A matter which raises hope of having a detente in the stumbled talked between the two sides concerning trade conditions.

The sources explained that the Saudi crown prince who constitutes a driving force behind the gas initiative will be meeting in Jeddah with the chairman of Axon Mobile and chairman of Shell group, separately.

An official in a Western oil company said the "meeting of the crown prince is decisive, It is the first push needed by all," noting that the companies concerned hope that the meeting ( between the Saudi crown prince and Axon and Shell heads) will result in giving certain facilitation from the Saudi side.
