Doha, Budapest agree to open embassies, develop bilateral relations

The ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani on Thursday concluded his European tour which covered each of Finland, Poland, Hungary and Romania which he had arrived on Wednesday evening in a visit which lasted for two days.
He was welcomed by the Romanian President Eyan Alesco. A round of official talks was held between Sheikh Hamad and Romania's President at the Romanian Presidential palace. Earlier Sheikh Hamad and President of the Republic of Hungary Madle witnessed the signing of one agreement and four memorandum and documents between the state of Qatar and the Republic of Hungary in the fields of air transport and political consultations between the two countries foreign ministries, opening embassies and tourism, sport and youth cooperation as well as cooperation between the two countries's chambers of commerce and industry.
The signing ceremony came following the official talks held between the two sides led by Sheikh Hamad and the Hungarian president, held at the headquarters of the Hungarian parliament in Budapest upon the arrival of the ruler of Qatar to the Hungarian capital coming from Warsaw. The two sides reviewed areas of developments and developing co-operation relations between the two countries as well as several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
On Wednesday morning and in his last day in his visit to Poland, the ruler of Qatar met with President Kosinosky. During the meeting which was held at the guest palace in Warsaw, the two leaders continued discussions of issues that would strengthen co-operation relations between the two countries especially in trade and economic fields.
In a joint press statement in conclusion of Sheikh Hamad to Warsaw, the two sides stressed their determination to develop and strengthen their joint cooperation in the political and economic fields. They also agreed to explore new prospects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The two sides stressed the need of continuing the development of the legal legislative base of reciprocated relations. They expressed their desire to sign more bilateral agreements in the future in the economic, health, sports and tourism areas. They also agreed to exchange drafts of these agreements.
