Secret diplomatic contacts between Israel, Morocco

In its Wednesday's issue, the Israeli daily Yadhout Ahronot said that Israel and Morocco have held during the recent weeks secret diplomatic contacts at the consent of the Moroccan King Muhammad VI.

The Israeli radio quoted the paper on Wednesday as saying that resumption of bilateral contacts came at the initiative of Rabat, which expressed its interest once again to play the role of the mediator in the Palestinian- Israeli conflict and to permit the Israeli tourists to visit Morocco.

The Israeli radio indicated that Israel and Morocco have so far held two meetings and they are now making several telephone contacts.
