More people killed or wounded in Algiers

Some 11 passengers were killed and other 10 wounded on Tuesday evening when an armed group opened fire at a coach in al-Medya province, 80 Km to the south of Algiers.

Two passengers were killed and one wounded last Sunday evening at a false check point installed by an armed group to the south of the capital and opened fire at a truck and a rent car in that region, where members of the armed groups are active.

Worthy mentioning that since the beginning of June more than 30 persons were killed in acts of violence in Algeria.

According to figures issued by the Algerian dailies, acts of violence in Algeria since the beginning of the current year 2002, resulted in killing 640 Algerians.
