Sharon threatens to hold an early elections in Israel
Israel-USA, Politics, 6/13/2002
A high ranking Israeli official quoted the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon as saying that he had warned the US President George Bush against imposing a peace agreement on Israel.
The said official noted that Sharon told Bush during their talks in the White House last Monday that in this case ( when a peace agreement is imposed on Israel) he ( Sharon) will only have one option which is to call for early elections that will freeze the diplomatic process for six month, at least.
On Tuesday evening Sharon ended a visit to Washington which is his 6th within 15 months. He headed for London to meet with the British prime minister Tony Blair.
