The ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah on Tuesday received the King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa who arrived in Kuwait earlier in the day in a short visit. In an arrival statement to the press, Sheikh Hamad said that his visit includes convening talks with the ruler of Kuwait relating to bilateral relations and latest developments on the regional. The Iraqi defense means on Monday intercepted American and British planes while flying over southern Iraq and forced them to flee away. An Iraqi military spokesman said that several American and British formations backed by AWACS planes carried out 16 armed air sorties over Artwai, al-Jalabeyah, al-Deir, al Basra, al-Lousof, al-Nasereyah, al-Salman, al-Qarna and al-Samawah areas in southern Iraq.
