Moroccan-Kuwaiti commission meets june 14

The Moroccan-Kuwaiti joint commission will meet this June 14 in Kuwait, said Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, who announced he will be leading the Moroccan delegation to the session.
In an interview with Kuwaiti daily "All Anbaa," the head of the Moroccan diplomacy said the commission, set up last year in Rabat, seeks to develop bilateral relations in various fields, including at the political level. The two states are bound by a protocol of political coordination under which they coordinate their stances within regional and international organizations.
Benaissa, who voiced satisfaction at the good relations existing between the two Arab states, said the commission, chaired by the two states' foreign ministers will look into several bilateral issues, mainly the situation in the Middle East and Euro-Mediterranean cooperation.
Asked on whether the commission will look into the "Iraqi-Kuwaiti case," he answered that relations between the two states that have known "an evident detente" in the Arab summit of Beirut (last March) will obviously be included in the agenda of this meeting.
He further argued that Morocco grants a large interest to the situation in the Arab Gulf region and is attached to the stability, independence and territorial integrity of Kuwait. Morocco will do its utmost to settled the problems of Kuwaiti missing persons, said Benaissa, before recalling that the Kingdom has been endeavoring for several years and is ready to continue to work to end this tragedy the soonest.
