A European tour for the ruler of Qatar

The ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani continues his European tour which he started from Finland by holding talks with the Finnish President Mrs. Tarja Halonen in Helsinki where an agreement on economic and trade relations between the two countries was signed.

A Qatari governmental sources said that the tour of the ruler of Qatar in addition to Finland, will also cover Poland, Hungary and Romania and that Sheikh Hamad is accompanied by a delegation including the foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani and several high ranking officials.

The sources added that this tour aims at supporting bilateral relations between Qatar and these states especially in the economic field, noting the improvement of economic conditions in Qatar where Qatari gas reserves increased to 900 billion cubic meters.
