Jordan enact law preventing state employees from joining political parties
Jordan, Politics, 6/12/2002
The Jordanian government has approved a new provisional law for civil service that bans state's employees from taking part in any march or sit-in or writing "banners" that may undermine the reputation of the state or defaming it.
The new law also bans the government's employees from joining political parties or to provide the press with any document or information pertinent to a public case.
The new law also states the need of carrying out an evaluation test for those who apply to acquire jobs in the government sector through the civil service court.
