Al-Hayat: Efforts succeeded in preventing another dam bursting in Syria

According to sources it described as well- informed, the London- based al-Hayat daily said that specialized Syrian authorities prevented the occurrence of another catastrophe in Syria when these authorities opened the "outlet" of Qastoun dam immediately following the collapse of Zeizoun dam.
In its Tuesday's issue al-Hayat said the experts who were accompanying the prime minister Mustafa Miro found out that there are an extra 3 million cubic meters of water in Qastoun, the twin dam of Zeizoun.
The paper indicated that investigations resulted in arresting some former and current individuals with responsibilities related to the dam.
