Sharon says his visit to US is successful
Israel-USA, Politics, 6/12/2002
The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon has considered he has achieved his objectives in Washington during his meeting with the US President George Bush.
He said his meeting with the US President Bush was good and friendly and expressed his satisfaction over strengthening ties of friendship and harmony during his talks with Bush.
Sharon, on the other hand, criticized during his talks at the White House the Palestinians. He said that Israel wants peace and is working to this end. He called for changing the composition of the Palestinian authority and called for halting the Intifada as a precondition towards any inclination to talk with the Palestinians.
