Maher, al-Faisal discuss deteriorated Palestinian conditions

Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher on Tuesday discussed with his Saudi peer Saud al-Faisal the implications of deteriorated conditions in the Middle East region and the Israeli - Palestinian situation.
The two ministers also discussed the Arab move in order to reach a comprehensive political settlement for the Arab- Israeli conflict in light of the Arab peace initiative approved by the recent Arab summit held in Beirut, based on international resolutions and the land for peace formula.
Maher briefed his Saudi counterpart on the results of the visit made by President Mubarak to the US and his talks with the US President George Bush and members of the US administration.
