IDB executive directors council convenes 208th session

The council of executive directors of the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) opened here Sunday.
The 208th council is looking into issues related to the financing of some development projects in a number of member countries, and the granting of technical help in order to relief them from the burden of foreign debt, and encourage their economic and social development.
Participants will also study reports on projects to be financed by the IDB in member countries.
The meeting will also discuss the 27th annual IDB Group meeting, to be held in Burkina Faso next October, at the level of the finance ministers of the 53 member countries.
