Al-Hayat: Syria, Turkey to sign military agreements

In its Monday's issue, the London - based al-Hayat daily said quoting well-informed sources that the Syrian army chief of staff Lt. Gen. Hassan Turkmani will discuss with his Turkish peer during this forthcoming visit to Ankara, several issues, including ensuring the safety of borders and cooperation in the field of fighting terrorism and dismantling mines on the two sides of the border of 600 Km length.
Turkish military sources told the paper that the military agreement to be signed by the two Syrian and Turkish armies chiefs of staff during the visit and other agreements to be signed later may pave the way for conducting joint miltary exercises between the two countries.
