Spanish party condemns Canary Islands provocative behavior against Morocco
Morocco-Spain, Politics, 6/10/2002

Spain's Popular Front for the Independence of the Canary Islands, FREPIC ANAWAK, condemned Friday harassment of Morocco by the Spanish entities opposing its territorial integrity.

The hostility of the Canary Islands local government over the African Neighbor, reminiscent of the Hispanic-European colonialism in Africa, and its rejection of dialogue affect the future of its relations with Morocco, the party said in a release.

The delegation that arrived unexpectedly in the Moroccan Southern city of Laayoune before being asked to leave back home, is a Spanish, not a Canary delegation, since it represents the Spanish Federation of Institutions backing the "Polisario" separatist front, the release goes on.
