Israel prevents Palestinian minister from attending international forum in Rabat
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 6/8/2002
Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian minister of culture and communication, Yasser Abed Rabbou, from attending the international forum on protection of Islamic and Christian shrines in Palestine, held in Rabat this June 7-8.
After having accepted the ISESCO invitation, the Palestinian minister "was surprised by the Israeli decision to prevent him from leaving the Palestinian territories," he said.
The minister was to attend the ISESCO event, alongside Palestinian director of Habous (Islamic endowments) in Al-Qods (Jerusalem), Adnan Hassini, and profesor of the Islamic and Christian patrimony at the Bir Zeit University, Nadmi El Jabri.
