The Israeli forces storm into Nablus, Balatah camp; Continue campaign of arrests

The Israeli forces on Friday continued advancing towards the allies of Balatah camp from one house to another while demolishing the houses by bulldozers and expanded its attack towards the city of Nablus and stormed into it but avoided to break into the older part of the city.

News reports said that the Israeli forces arrested 15 Palestinians upon breaking into Nablus and Balatah camp and the Israeli forces also arrested several youths in the city of Qalqilya in a new invasion operation on Friday The Palestinians retaliated to the Israeli aggressions by attacking Shafi Shamroun settlement in the north of Nablus. An Israeli military spokesman said that one Palestinian could reach one building of the settlement and opened fire on one of the settlers.

The Palestinian Intifada youths also fired bombs at an Israeli position to the south of Kfar daroum settlement in Gaza and attacked another position near Erez barrier at the entrance of the sector. The Israeli radio said that the position personnel opened intensive fire at the attackers.

Meantime, the spokesman for the French foreign ministry Francois Revaso renewed France condemnation to the incursions made by the Israeli army in the Palestinian territories and stressed the need of halting them and for lifting all measures of siege and closure from the Palestinians.

Revaso said that France supports the efforts of the Arab league in order to maintain a peaceful settlement in the region.

For its part Spain protested, upon summoning the Israeli ambassador in Madrid, over the Israeli authorities restrictions of the moves of the diplomats and consulate representatives in the Palestinian areas.
