Maher receives German official

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher received on Wednesday German Free Democratic Party (FDP) Chief and Leader of the Opposition in the Bundestag Guido Westerwelle, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt. Westerwelle described his meeting with Maher as important, adding that he discussed with the foreign minister conditions in the Middle East.

He said his talks in Egypt and the countries he visited confirmed the veracity of his party's concept that Israel had the right to live in recognized and secure borders and that the Palestinians also had the right to live in an independent Palestinian state within secure borders.
