Egypt, Sudan integration subject of parliamentarians discussions

Egyptian People's Assembly Speaker Ahmed Fathi Sorour met Wednesday with Sudanese National Assembly Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim El-Taher, who doubles as speaker of the Arab Parliamentary Union (APU), and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the distinguished parliamentary relations between the two countries' parliaments and the friendly relations binding both countries.
Following the meeting, Sorour said this meeting comes in confirmation of the deeply rooted relations established between the two countries and in order to probe a number of issues of common interest.
He said: "We feel proud of the Sudanese-Egyptian ties which were specially crystallized in the parliamentary relations binding the two countries."
Taher said this visit is very important as it could help in upgrading relations between the two countries.
He explained that the Sudanese delegation met with Egyptian parliamentarians in the international fore, a matter which necessitates coordinating stances and consolidating efforts to enhance the official tendencies of the two states in order to realize a real integration between the two peoples and stabilize democracy.
