WTO director general visits morocco

Director general of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Mike Moore, will pay the Moroccan spiritual capital of Fez a private visit as of Friday, followed June 3-4 by a work visit in Rabat and Casablanca.

During his private visit to Fez, Moore will take part in the second "Fez Meetings," held on the sidelines of "Fez Sacred Music Festival" under the theme "A soul for globalization, Paths of wisdom."

During the work visit in Rabat, the WTO director general will be meeting several Moroccan ministers and officials.

WTO head will meet in Casablanca several executives and operators, mainly from the Moroccan Industrial Union (CGEM), and the Professional Grouping of Moroccan Banks(GPBM).

Mike Moore will also meet director general of the High Institute of Commerce and business management (ISCAE) over preparations for the "course of economic policy," which will be co-organized by the WTO and the ISCAE July 8-September 27 for African executives.

The course will be held for the 1st time outside Geneva. (MAP)IS
