Britain supports pilot program to improve minors' detention conditions in Morocco

Great Britain is bringing support to a pilot project meant to improve detention conditions of minors in the Ukacha prisons.

A statement of the British embassy said, British NGO "Penal Reform International" has allocated 1.5 million DH (US$ 130,000) for various activities scheduled by the program. The NGO will hold two training sessions for staff involved in the re-integration of minor detainees.

A group of 20 persons will be attending a two-week training session held by 4 international experts to improve their organizational and management capacities. The PRI will also hold workshops of social workers and prison staff and provide pedagogic and cultural material.
