Spanish imports of Moroccan sea products rise by 80%

Spain's imports of Moroccan sea products increased by 80% during 2000-2001, Spanish official sources said in a report.

Spain imported some 187 million Euro of Moroccan fish in 1999, 290 million Euro in 2000, and 337 million Euro in 2001, the source said, adding that sea products are the second most important Moroccan exports to Spain, after textile.

In 2001, Spain's imports of Morocco's textile reached 500 Mln Euro, which a 50% rise compared to last year.
