Saudi Arabia to help Yemen's development, June coordination meeting

Well- informed sources said that the Saudi- Yemeni coordination council will be held in Jeddah on June 15 and 16 under the chairman ship of the Saudi minister of defense prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, on behalf of the Saudi side and the Yemeni prime minister Abdul Qader Bajmal on behalf of his country.

The council will discuss means of financing several developmental projects in Yemen, that had been approved for financing in the previous meeting of the coordination council which was held in Sanaa in June 2001.

Worthy mentioning that Saudi Arabia and Yemen agreed during that meeting that Saudi Arabia will offer loans at a value of USD 300 million as aid to finance several developmental projects in Yemen.

Moreover, during the meetings the two land and sea transport agreements will be exchanged and also the memorandum of cooperation and understanding between the two states foreign ministries and a draft agreement on post office cooperation.
