Moroccan business delegation probes economic and commercial, partnership with Mauritania

A Moroccan business delegation is on a mission to the Mauritanian capital city of Nouakchott this May 27-28 to probe economic and commercial between the two Maghreban states.

The mission, comprising representatives of 24 Moroccan companies from the sectors of textile, car industry, agribusiness, electric equipment, new technologies and international trade, is conducting between with Mauritanian counterparts to set up the bases of a mutually fruitful partnership and probe means to set up solid partnership and foster trade between the two states.

The two states' exchanges are short of their possibilities, director of the Moroccan exports promotion center, Ali El Alaoui, said.

Between 1995 and 2000, the overall exchange volume between Morocco and Mauritania went up from US$ 7 Mln to US$ 15 Mln, which is a 22.5% per year rise, Alaoui said.
