Israeli imprisonment sentences against Syrians in the Golan
Syria-Israel, Politics, 5/29/2002

An Israeli court has sentenced on Sunday the Syrian citizen from the occupied Golan heights Hamad Hussein Abu Zeid for one year imprisonment and to pay a large financial fee.

This sentence was taken under charges of resisting the Israeli occupation and refusal to abide by the laws the Israeli authorities try to impose on the Syrians of the occupied Golan heights. The said court also postponed reconsidering the lists of accusations against three other Syrians from occupied Majdal Shams village to another date despite the fact they have been detained for several months and their relatives are banned from meeting them inside the Israeli jails.

Worthy mentioning that the Israeli authorities arrested Hussein Abu Zeid, Kameil Khater, Samih Samara and Mrs. Amal Mustafa Mahmoud under the charge of resisting the occupation several months ago.
