Hammoud, al-Faisal for reviving the Arab peace initiative

The Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud Hammoud stressed that the Arab initiative should constitute the basic term of reference for any solution to the Middle East question.
In a statement to the London- based al-Majallah in its recent issue, Hammoud said that the committee that emerged from the Arab summit which was held recently in Beirut continues its move towards carrying out all assigned responsibilities in order to preserve the Arab rights and defending them by all means.
For his part and in a similar statement, the Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal stressed the need of reviving the Arab peace initiative at a time when the region is witnessing accelerating developments adding that the committee completed during the two past days several meetings and talks aiming at revitalizing the initiative in various capitals of the decision makers and at the American administration, public opinion and the Congress and the international public opinion.
