Japanese foreign minister to visit the region

Official sources in Tokyo said on Tuesday that the Japanese foreign minister Yuriko Kwaghoushe intends to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories by the beginning of June in order to contribute to the process of easing down the current position in the region.
An official at the ministry said that the minister decided to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories on June 8 and 9th and will discuss with high ranking officials there the escalated situation in the Palestinian territories and to confirm Japan's support to the Middle East peace process.
