Ethiopia lauds Mubarak's efforts to solve disputes in Africa and Palestine

Ethiopian Foreign Minister Mesfin Seyoum lauded the efforts exerted by President Hosni Mubarak to solve the existing disputes in Africa and Palestine in order to realize peoples' interests, peace, and security.
The Ethiopian Minister said that the African leaders appreciate the role and weight of Egypt in Africa and the efforts of President Mubarak to push forward the cooperation and economic and social development in the continent during his chairmanship to COMESA.
He added that Mubarak's efforts in the COMESA have laid a solid foundation in the stage of transformation of the Union of African Unity into the African Union.
The Ethiopian top diplomat further said that the bilateral relations between Egypt and Ethiopia are developing for the common interest of the two countries.
In this respect he would pay a visit soon to Egypt to hold talks with Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher prior to the meetings of the joint supreme committee.
On the Sudanese issue, Mesfin asserted his country' support to the Egyptian Libyan initiative to spread peace and national concord in south Sudan.
He also said that Ethiopia can never support any separatist movements in Somalia, pointing out that Ethiopia is keen to exchange information and opinions with Egypt all African issues, specially the issues of Sudan and Somalia.
