World celebrations marking centennial anniversary of Egyptian museum

Egyptian Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni said that the ministry would hold world celebrations on December 9 marking the centennial anniversary of establishing the Egyptian museum in Cairo.
The three-day celebrations will be attended by a great number of world figures in the domain of culture.
On his part, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of antiquities (SCA) Zahi Hawwas said that the celebrations would comprise a collection of scientific, cultural, technical activities and international conference on museum's sciences in the 2st century, fairs, the museum's cultural and media role, and the use of state-of-the-art technology in the field of museum's Services.
Hawwas noted that the celebrations would also include an archeological fair at the Egyptian museum displaying some monumental pieces for the first time after they had been unearthed.
He added that the fair would be titled: "Museum treasures fair at the museum."
